Biography

I grew up in the Wesleyan church where I was raised in the parsonage(s) by loving Godly parents.  I have two brothers, both bigger than I.  Our family practiced regular church attendance, religious calendar celebrations, and routine Christian family traditions during my entire childhood. After some rough teenage years and a tumultuous college experience I hit bottom, so to speak, when the girl I had been dating got pregnant. Over the past seven years God has miraculously transformed my life. I married the ‘girl’, my beautiful wife Jade, in June of 2005 and our first daughter was born that November. A year and a half later we added another girl who is now five. God blessed our family with an adoption from Uganda in 2010 where we welcomed then two year old Ezra. Most recently, we adopted a newborn girl, Ruby.  Over these years our family has gone through a variety of struggles and God been faithful.

My salvation story is one of patience and process. While I admire those who remember ‘the date’, I cannot pinpoint mine because most of the last decade has been a regenerative progression. Jesus Christ blessed me with a transforming love and an intimate relationship that has gripped me firmly. The more He shows Himself to me the more fervently I obey Him and the more I am changed. As my love for Him grows I am transformed and sculpted into a man with compassion like His and fear of Him. The traits which I can now use are His own blessings for which I am thankful. I believe Jesus Christ has changed my life and saved me from the penalty of sin, certain eternal death. I believe that He has a plan to redeem my wasted youth for His service and for His Kingdom. I believe that He desires my undivided love and I believe His grace is sufficient to do all that He has promised.
